Some Factors for Choosing a New Church
Sunday, June 5th, 2011Be careful when you choose which Frisco Texas church will become your home. Take time. Visit as many churches as is necessary. Seek wise counsel in this determination. Pray about it. Just recognize that no one church will be 100% perfect. In our generation, it is wise to commit to a church for the long term. Being a part of a church should not be a simple selection process like buying a shirt, selecting your favorite eating establishment, or even a significant decision such as buying a home. The decision to join a particular church should be like marriage. In marriage, we make the best initial decision and stay there permanently. Here are a few key things to keep in mind as you choose your upcoming church:Become familiar to the relationships of the church. Good Plano churches focus on relationships more than programs. Jesus instructed local churches to make disciples which is inherently a relational process over time. Programs replace Programs tend to substitute relationships with events and surface interactions that never truly create life change or people with hearts devoted to Jesus Christ. Then ask yourself if the members of the church seem social and open to first time visitors? Do they appear to be authentic and desiring to really build relationships with you? Are they true and real about the challenges in the spiritual life? Avoid a church in Frisco which appears full of fakes and people unwilling to get down into the trenches of life with you.
